The environmentally delicate spit of sand dunes at the entrance to Chichester Harbour known as East Head is is protected by fences and marram grass (Ammophila arenaria) to ensure the land is not lost to wind and sea erosion by storm action and blowing sand. This is a view of Chichester Harbour in side East Head showing newly established clumps of Marram Grass. West Wittering, Sussex, UK. 16 August 2006.
