Yellow and black caterpillars, lava, of the Cinnabar Moth (Tyria jacobaeae) feeding on the flower buds and new leaves of Common Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea). The warning colouration, long hairs, poisons and unpleasant taste from eating ragwort, allow these caterpillars to feed in the open on the tender tips of the plants without being molested by birds. Cuckmere Haven, Sussex, UK. 03 July 2006.
