The mouth of the River Rother below Rye Harbour. Rye, one of the Cinque Ports was a flourishing port until the end of the 16th century when the port silted up. It is now two miles from the sea and a small number of fishing and pleasure boats are moored in the River Rother and at Rye Harbour. Rye Harbour, East Sussex, UK. 02 August 2006
