Fish shaped weather vane on the top of the old Billingsgate Fish Market on the banks of the River Thames. There has been a market at Billingsgate since the fourteenth century. This market building was designed by the City Architect, Sir Horace Jones and built by John Mowlem. It was opened in 1876. The building is now used as offices. Lower Thames Street, City of London, UK. 27 October 2005.
