A group of small elm trees (Ulmus species) that have grown to a certain size and then succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease. This is caused by the fungus Ophiostoma ulmi, which is carried by Elm Bark Beetles of the genus Scolytus). Marden Meadow Nature Reserve, Marden, Kent. UK. 11 June 2006.
